LSPPC News issue 1 is now available
Updated: Jan 13, 2020
We're very pleased to announce that the first issue of our newsletter, LSPPC News, is now available to association members, accessible from the newsletter page.
This issue includes three articles by researchers in ESP.
Exploring the Leadership Conceptualization Process – From Research to ESP Program Development (Kevin Knight, Kanda University of International Studies)
Second Language Socialization in Construction Engineering in Hong Kong: The Transition from Academic to Professional Contexts (Cindy Yu, City University of Hong Kong)
Collaborations between LSP Specialists and Target Discourse Community Specialists: What Expertise do LSP Specialists Bring to the Table? (Christine Feak, University of Michigan)
As well as these articles, the newsletter also brings together a list of conferences on LSP around the world, members' news, and provides members with a discount on Routledge publications in ESP.
Hopefully, the newsletter will provide members with a forum where they can share their own news and also learn about what colleagues in the fields of LSP and professional communication are up to. We'll be putting together another newsletter in 12 months' time and if you have events that you want to share, or are interested in penning an article, please get in touch with one of the editors (Vijay Bhatia, Christoph Hafner, or Jack Pun).
As a benefit to members, the latest issue of the newsletter is available to members of the association only. If you want access, please feel free to join. Back issues will be made public.
